Which companies can we visit?

It's possible to visit the following companies:

How long does it take to make a harbour tour?

A visit to the Port varies from 2 hours up to a whole day. Visiting the Fruit Terminal takes about 1,5 hour and a visit to the Terminals at Maasvlakte a morning or afternoon. Depending on your preferences we offer you a customized tour.

Do we need a touring car?

Yes. The Port of Rotterdam covers hundred square kilometres. Practically for every visit you need a touring car to reach and enter company sites.

Is it possible to use our own touring car?

Yes. Industrial Tourism can offer you bus transport, but you can use your own touring car as well.

Can we just make a tour by boat?

Yes. It's possible to make a cruise through the Port of Rotterdam. Industrial Tourism's guide will meet you at the charter ship and gives you an extensive impression of the Port seen from the water. There are also facilities to have lunch and dinner on board.

Is it possible just to hire a guide?

Yes. When you have your own touring car, it is possible just to hire a guide. The guide will meet you at a certain location and give you a look behind the scenes while driving through the Port.

Can Industrial Tourism offer more?

Yes. Industrial Tourism offers customized tours. We can arrange for you:

Is there unlimited access to all companies?

All our partner companies are most willing to offer you close look at their activities. However access is sometimes restricted. In some periods there is limited access due to safety regulations and increasing Port activity. Industrial Tourism is at all times informed of restrictions and therefore - if necessary - can offer you an alternative tour.

What do we need for visiting a company?

For company visits an Identity Document -passport or driving license-  is required.
